Krishi Input Anudan Yojana
Introduction to the Krishi Input Anudan Yojana
The Krishi Input Anudan Yojana (कृषि इनपुट अनुदान योजना), initiated by the Bihar Department of Agriculture, is a vital scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to farmers. This program focuses on regions adversely affected by elevated water levels in rivers such as the Ganga and Kosi, as well as damage resulting from severe flooding and heavy rainfall, especially during the Kharif season.
Overview of the Scheme
The primary goal of the Krishi Input Anudan Yojana is to extend agricultural input subsidies to farmers whose crops have suffered significant damage due to flooding or excessive rainfall. To qualify for this aid, farmers must demonstrate crop damage exceeding 33%. The scheme is a response to the challenges posed by environmental factors, ensuring that farmers receive the necessary support to sustain their agricultural activities.
