The Government of Goa has launched the “Kanya Dhan Scheme for SC Students,” overseen by the Directorate of Higher Education. Under this scheme, a one-time grant of ₹25,000 is awarded to eligible girls upon successfully completing their 12th standard board examinations or an equivalent qualification.

Eligibility Requirements
- For Application:
- The applicant must be a girl.
- She should be currently enrolled as a student.
- Completion of the 10th standard examination is mandatory.
- The applicant must have appeared for the 11th standard in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Vocational, or ITI).
- Only up to two daughters from a single family are eligible to apply under this scheme.
- For Benefit Disbursal:
- The applicant is required to pass the 12th standard examination within three attempts or within two years from the first attempt. Failing to do so will result in forfeiture of the financial aid, which will be credited back to the Government Treasury.

Online Registration
- Navigate to the official website of the Chief Minister Scholarship Portal, Government of Goa.
- Click on “Register” located at the top right corner of the homepage to access the registration page.
- In the “Student Registration” section, click on “Click Here” to open the registration form.
- Complete the form with the required details, including:
- Student’s Name
- Gender
- Category
- Date of Birth (DD-MM-YYYY)
- Aadhaar Number
- House Number
- Waddo/Street
- Village Panchayat/Municipality
- District
- Taluka
- Assembly/Constituency
- City/Town/Village
- PIN Code
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
- Create a password with 8 to 15 characters and confirm it.
- Click “Register” and confirm your registration by selecting “Yes” on the confirmation popup.
Application Submission
- After registering, revisit the Chief Minister Scholarship Portal.
- Select “Login” at the top right corner.
- Enter your username, password, and captcha code, then click “Login.”
- Once logged in, a list of eligible schemes will appear. Choose the scheme you wish to apply for.
- Click on “Fresh Application” in the “Apply” section from the side navigation bar.
- Complete the application form by filling in all mandatory fields and upload the required documents in the specified format before clicking “Submit.”
Post-Application Process
- Your school or institution will verify the submitted application before forwarding it to the directorate for further assessment.
- If any discrepancies are found in the application or the uploaded documents, the school may return the application to the student for necessary corrections and resubmission.
Application Tracking
- Click “Track Application” from the side navigation bar.
- Enter your Aadhaar Number and Date of Birth, then click “Submit” to check the status of your application.

Benefits

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

Step 2: At the top right corner of the landing page, click "Register". You will be taken to the registration page
.
Step 3: On the registration page, under the "Student Registration" section, click "Click Here".
In the Student Registration Form, fill in the following fields:
Student's Name, Gender, Category, Date of Birth (DD-MM-YYYY), Aadhaar Number, House Number, Waddo/Street, Village Panchayat/Municipality, District, Taluka, Assembly/Constituency, City/Town/Village, PIN Code, Mobile Number, Email ID.
Step 4: Create a password ranging between 8 to 15 characters and confirm the same.
Step 5: Click "Register" and then click "Yes" to the Confirmation Popup.

Step 3: On the login page, fill in your username, password, captcha code, and click "Login".
Step 4: Upon logging in, a list of eligible schemes will be displayed. Click the scheme that you intend to apply for.
Step 5: In the "Apply" section on the side navigation bar, click "Fresh Application".
Step 6: Fill in all the mandatory fields of the Application Form and upload all the required documents in the specified format and size and click "Submit".
Post Application Process
1. After successful submission of the application, your school/institution will verify the application and submit it to the directorate for further scrutiny.
2. In case of an issue in the application form or documents uploaded, the school/institution can send back the application to the student for necessary corrections and resubmission.

Step 2: On the next page, provide your Aadhaar Number and Date of Birth, and click "Submit".
