Overview of the Scheme

The Gaushala Vikas Yojana is designed to provide support to gaushalas that possess ownership or long-term leased land, with a minimum lease period of 20 years. Under this initiative, qualified gaushalas can receive funding of up to ₹10,00,000, with 90% of the funding sourced from the state government, while the remaining 10% is the responsibility of the gaushala itself.

Eligibility Criteria

• Gaushalas must own or lease land for a minimum of 20 years, validated by a competent authority.
• To qualify, gaushalas should have maintained at least 100 cattle consistently for the preceding two years.
• There should be no pending cases regarding financial irregularities or embezzlement against the gaushala.
• Gaushalas that actively promote self-sufficiency and are focused on developing their own resources are encouraged to apply.
• Those willing to engage and collaborate on relevant projects can also apply.
• Basic infrastructure that is essential under this scheme should not have been constructed previously. However, if the existing facilities are inadequate for the number of cattle, gaushalas may be eligible for additional construction.
• Gaushalas that are registered under the Rajasthan Gaushala Act, 1960, the Rajasthan Society Registration Act, 1958, or Lalsamay Pravat Law are eligible.
• Institutions may also be included if recommended or approved by the District-Level Gaushala Committee under exceptional circumstances.

Exclusions

Specific exclusions may apply to gaushalas that do not meet the outlined eligibility criteria or have prior infractions relating to financial management.
