The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) launched its Internship Scheme in 2016, aimed at engaging talented Indian nationals who are pursuing higher education. This initiative offers students the opportunity to gain valuable insights and experience by working closely with the Commission, enhancing both their academic and professional profiles.
Overview of the Scheme
The CVC Internship Scheme is designed for Indian citizens who are either graduates awaiting their final year results or post-graduate/research students enrolled in esteemed universities or institutions, both domestically and internationally. Preference is given to those studying Law, Information Technology (IT), Business Administration (MBA), Social Sciences, and related fields. Interns will join the Commission and are expected to assist in analyzing and compiling data, thereby contributing to various projects and policies within the organization. This experience not only benefits the interns but also supports the Commission’s mission by tapping into young, innovative talent.
Objectives
- To provide opportunities for young scholars to collaborate with the Commission, fostering mutual growth.
- To offer interns exposure to the workings of the Commission and the associated vigilance matters.
- To allow interns to contribute to policy development by generating empirical analyses, briefing reports, and policy papers.
- To enhance the Commission’s capabilities through the fresh perspectives and outputs of interns.
Internship Duration
The internship lasts for a minimum of one month, with the possibility of extension up to two months, depending on project needs.
Number of Interns
During the period from May to August, a minimum of three interns will be permitted to work at the Commission.
Declaration of Secrecy
Prior to starting the internship, all interns are required to submit a Declaration of Secrecy to ensure confidentiality regarding the Commission’s sensitive information.
Benefits of the Internship
Remuneration
Interns will receive a stipend of ₹10,000 per month to help cover transportation and daily expenses. Note: This internship does not guarantee future employment nor is it equivalent to a job.
Logistics and Support
The Commission will provide interns with a designated workspace, internet access, and other resources deemed necessary by the department heads. Note: Interns are responsible for arranging their own transportation and accommodation at their own expense.
Certificate of Completion
Upon successfully completing the internship and submitting an end-of-assignment report, interns will receive a certificate. This report will be assessed by the Branch Officer supervising the intern.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- The applicant should be a graduate (awaiting final year results), post-graduate, or research student enrolled in reputable universities or institutions, either in India or abroad.
- Preferably, the applicant should be studying Law, IT, MBA, Social Sciences, or related disciplines.

Benefits
Remuneration
Interns may be given a stipend of ₹ 10,000 per month necessary to meet the conveyance and other daily needs of the Interns.
NOTE: The internship is neither a job nor a promise for a job in the future.
Logistics and Support
The commission shall provide them with working space, internet facility and other necessities as deemed fit by the Branch heads.
NOTE: The Interns may arrange their own transport and accommodation at their own expense.
Certificate of Internship
A certificate will be awarded to the Interns upon satisfactory completion of the internship and submission of their end-of-assignment report which will be evaluated by the Branch Officer with whom the intern is attached.
