- Competitions such as quizzes, debates, or essay contests focusing on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s life and work to foster social justice awareness among students. Winners will receive cash prizes along with books about Dr. Ambedkar.
Benefits of the Scheme
The scheme provides financial assistance for organizing these celebrations, with a maximum of ₹50,000 available for each event. A maximum of two events can be organized in a single year under this financial support.
Note: Financial assistance for commemorating the anniversaries of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Sant Ravidas, and Maharishi Balmiki is disbursed through designated empaneled agencies.
Eligibility Criteria
The following criteria must be met to qualify for the scheme:
- Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) must be registered under the Societies Registration Act.
- Registered NGOs should maintain audited accounts.
Application Procedure
Applying Offline
To apply for financial assistance, follow these steps:
- Visit the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC during office hours and request a hard copy of the application form from the designated staff member responsible for issuing and collecting applications.
- Complete the application form by filling out all necessary fields. Attach copies of mandatory documents, ensuring they are self-attested where required.
- Submit the completed and signed application form along with the required documents to the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC.
- Obtain a receipt or acknowledgment from the official receiving your application. The receipt should include vital information such as the submission date and time, along with a unique identification number if applicable.
Important Notes:
- Ensure that the application is submitted at least 15 days prior to the planned event.
- A recommendation letter is not necessary while the Model Code of Conduct is in effect during election periods.

Application Process
Apply Offline
Step 1: The interested applicant should visit (during office hours) the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the Department for the Welfare of SC/ST/OBC.
Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
Note-1: The application is submitted at least 15 days in advance.
Note-2: The recommendation letter is not mandatory during the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct during elections.
