Vocational Education Programme
The scheme aims to impart vocational education alongside academic learning to students of classes 9 to 12 in selected government secondary schools. Vocational education is offered in 08 sectors approved by the Government of India under the NSQF framework.
About This Scheme
The “Vocational Education Programme” is a scheme under the Samagra Shiksha Programme, implemented by the Secondary Education Department, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to impart vocational education alongside academic learning to students of classes 9 to 12 in selected government secondary schools.
Benefits
Under the programme, 08 sectors approved by the Government of India are being implemented under NSQF to provide vocational education alongside academic education for students of classes 9 to 12 in selected schools, where they receive both vocational education and training.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a resident of Uttarakhand.
The applicant must be studying in classes 9 to 12 in one of the 200 selected government secondary schools of Uttarakhand.
Application Process
Apply Offline
All students studying in classes 9 to 12 in government secondary schools where vocational education is conducted can take admission in the sectors operated under this programme.
If a student from another school wishes to study the vocational education curriculum, they must take admission in a school where the vocational education curriculum is being conducted.
Students already studying in such schools can choose vocational education as one of their subjects like other subjects. For this, no separate application is required.
There is also no need to submit any documents for the selection of vocational education subject.
