The Lokpal of India has introduced the Internship Scheme to provide students with an invaluable opportunity to gain insights into the Lokpal & Lokayuktas Act, the Prevention of Corruption Act, and other associated legislation. This initiative not only facilitates learning but also encourages interns to contribute innovative ideas towards the effective operation of the Lokpal.
About the Scheme
The “Lokpal of India Internship Scheme” is designed to educate interns about the practical implementation of various statutory frameworks including the Lokpal and Lokayuktas Act, the Prevention of Corruption Act, and the Central Vigilance Commission Act. Participants will also engage with the operational dynamics of institutions such as the Lokpal, the Central Vigilance Commission, and the Delhi Police Establishment (CBI), among others.
Internship Duration
The internship spans a period of six weeks.
Attendance Requirement
Interns are expected to be present at the office on all working days throughout the internship.
Benefits of the Internship
- A monthly stipend of ₹10,000.
- Upon successful completion, interns will receive a certificate from the Lokpal of India.
- Interns will be provided with necessary facilities, including a dedicated workspace and internet access.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must be a student.
- Enrollment in a regular undergraduate or postgraduate degree program in domains such as Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Management, Economics, or Human Rights is necessary.
- A minimum of 75% marks or equivalent in the 12th grade is required.
- Undergraduate candidates should have completed at least two years of their degree program.
- Undergraduate students must possess a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent marks in their completed years prior to application.
- Postgraduate candidates should have a minimum aggregate of 55% or equivalent in their undergraduate studies.
- Applicants need to have their own laptop for the duration of the internship.
Application Procedure
The application process for the internship is as follows:
- Step 1: Interested candidates should apply through their respective Institute, College, or University using the attached application form.
- Step 2: Fill in all mandatory fields in the application form and attach copies of all required documents (self-attested if necessary).
- Step 3: Submit the completed application form along with the documents either by post or via email to the Deputy Secretary (Admn.), Lokpal of India at the following address:

Selection Process
A committee appointed by the Hon’ble Chairperson will oversee the selection of interns. The selection criteria will include:
- The course of study pursued by the applicant.
- The academic performance and achievements of the candidate.

Step 1: The interested Candidate can apply through their Institute/College/University in the annexed application form

Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields, and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
