This innovative scheme offers a monthly financial aid of ₹1,000 to eligible students who are enrolled in recognized educational institutions, including schools, colleges, universities, and technical institutes. Additionally, students residing in government-run minority hostels receive 9 kg of rice and 6 kg of wheat each month, along with basic facilities to enhance their living and studying conditions.

Benefits of the Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Chhatravas Yojana

The program provides a range of benefits aimed at improving the educational experience for minority students:

• Monthly stipend: Students receive a financial assistance of ₹1,000.
• Essential facilities: Hostels are equipped with cots, mattresses, bed sheets, study tables, and chairs, as well as cooking utensils and kitchen access.
• Food provisions: Each student is allocated 9 kg of rice and 6 kg of wheat per month.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar.
• The individual must be a current student.
• The student must belong to a recognized minority community.
• The student should be enrolled in a recognized educational institution, such as a school, college, university, or technical institute within their district.
• The chosen course of study must be approved by the Government.
• Applicants must reside in a hostel managed by the Minority Welfare Department of the Bihar Government while studying.

Application Process

To apply for the Mukhyamantri Alpsankhyak Chhatravas Yojana, follow these steps:

Registration Procedure

1. Visit the E-Kalyan Portal.
2. Read through the guidelines and select “Create Account.”
3. Fill out the registration form with all necessary details, ensuring that all fields marked with (*) are completed.
4. Click on “Register” to complete the registration.
5. A confirmation message will appear displaying your User ID and password.

Applying for the Scheme

1. Log in to the E-Kalyan Portal using the User ID and password obtained during registration.
2. Provide your personal, academic, and other relevant information as required.
3. Select the district(s) for your application, remembering that multiple hostels within a district can be chosen.
4. Click “Save and Continue” to proceed with the application.
5. Upload all necessary documents and click “Submit” to finalize your application.

Note: Once your application is submitted, it cannot be altered. The Minority Welfare Department will obtain a student list from the Principal of the hostel where students reside.
