Eligible workers aged 60 years and above are entitled to receive a monthly pension, provided they have been beneficiaries of the Board for a minimum duration of three years. Additionally, applicants must not be receiving similar benefits from any other governmental schemes.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for both registration as a Building/Construction Worker and the Pension Scheme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

For Registration as a Building/Construction Worker:

• The applicant must be engaged in building or construction work as an unorganised worker.
• They must be at least 18 years old.
• The individual should have worked in the building and construction sector for a minimum of 90 days within a given year.

For Application to the Pension Scheme:

• The applicant must be a registered construction worker under the Karnataka Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
• The worker must have attained the age of 60 years.
• They should have been a beneficiary of the Board for three consecutive years prior to reaching 60.
• The worker must not be receiving analogous benefits from other government schemes.

Application Process

Applicants can apply online for both registration and the Pension Scheme through the Karnataka Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (KBOCWWB) official website. Below are the detailed steps for each process:

Registration Process as a Building/Construction Worker:

1. Access the official website of KBOCWWB and click on “Register”.
2. Select “Register as New Construction Worker”, input your mobile number as per your Aadhaar registration, and verify it using the OTP received.
3. Once logged in, navigate to the “Registration” section on the dashboard.
4. Complete all mandatory fields, upload the necessary documents, and click “Final Submit” to finish the registration.

Application Process for the Pension Scheme:

1. Visit the official website of KBOCWWB and click on “Login”.
2. Input your registered mobile number and the OTP received.
3. From the dashboard, select “Schemes” once your registration is approved.
4. Choose the relevant scheme, fill out the required information, and upload the necessary documents.
5. Review the details, check the declaration box, and then click “Submit” to complete your application.

Renewal Process:

1. Log in to the official website of KBOCWWB and click on “Login”.
2. Enter your registered mobile number and the OTP you received.
3. Access the “Renewal” section from the dashboard, fill in the required details, and upload the necessary documents.
4. Review the information provided and click “Submit” to finish the renewal process.

Note: All construction workers must renew their registration with the KBOCWWB every three years. If the registration is not renewed within this timeframe, a grace period of one year is allowed. Post this period, the registration will become invalid.
