Free Shoe and Bag Scheme
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to students from Classes 1 to 8 studying in all government & government-aided schools for purchasing shoes & bags. An amount of ₹318/- per student for Classes 1 to 5 & ₹462/- per student for Classes 6 to 8 is provided through Direct Benefit Transfer.
About This Scheme
The scheme “Free Shoes and Bags Scheme” is implemented by the Basic Education Department under the Department of Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to students from Classes 1 to 8 studying in all government and government-aided schools for purchasing shoes and bags.
Benefits
Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided for purchasing shoes and bags for boys and girls as follows:
₹318/- per student for Classes 1 to 5
₹462/- per student for Classes 6 to 8
The amount is transferred directly to the students’ account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a student of Classes 1 to 8 studying in any government or non-government aided school in Uttarakhand.
Application Process
Apply Offline
Students will receive the amount after submitting their Aadhaar card and bank account details to the Principal.
At the beginning of the academic session, the amount is transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
