Financial Assistance to Destitute Children Scheme (FADCS)

The Financial Assistance to Destitute Children Scheme (FADCS) is a pivotal initiative established by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Haryana in 1984. This state-operated program aims to provide financial support to children who are deprived of parental care and support, ensuring their welfare and development.

Overview of the Scheme

The FADCS is specifically designed for children aged up to 21 years who lack parental support due to various circumstances, such as the death of parents, prolonged absence of the father, or imprisonment of a parent for a minimum of one year. Additionally, children whose parents suffer from physical or mental disabilities are also eligible for this assistance. The scheme provides financial aid to a maximum of two children in a family, following the eligibility criteria outlined by the government.
