About This Scheme

The scheme “Deployment of Prantiya Rakshak Dal Volunteers” was launched by the Department of Youth Welfare and prantiy rakshak dal (PRD), Government of Uttarakhand. The scheme aims to provide financial security to PRD volunteers aged 18 to 42 years by paying a daily honorarium for their assistance in police duties and deployment in various offices.

Benefits

Under this scheme, PRD volunteers are paid a daily honorarium of ₹570/- for providing police assistance and performing duties in various offices.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicant must be a permanent resident of Uttarakhand.

The applicant must be a youth (male or female) aged between 18 and 42 years.

The applicant must be a Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) volunteer.

Application Process

Various departments submit their requirements for PRD volunteers to the Youth Welfare and PRD Department as needed. Based on these requirements, the department invites applications through advertisements, and district-wise dates are scheduled for physical measurements and examinations.

To participate in the examination, applicants must submit their birth certificate, mobile number, bank account details, permanent residence certificate, caste certificate, and educational qualification certificate.

PRD volunteers are selected based on the merit of the physical examination by a committee headed by the District Magistrate. Selected PRD (uniformed) volunteers undergo 22 days of paramilitary training followed by 15 days of retraining. After completing the training, they are deployed on duty, and their honorarium for the deployment period is paid directly through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
