Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Post Harvest Marketing Scheme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant must be a permanent resident of Meghalaya.
  • The applicant should be a bona fide farmer actively engaged in agricultural activities.
  • The applicant must own or lease a minimum of 0.2 hectares of land.

Application Process

Farmers interested in availing of the benefits of this scheme can apply through an offline process. The steps involved are as follows:

  1. The eligible farmer should draft an application on plain paper.
  2. Attach copies of all required documents (self-attestation may be necessary).
  3. Submit the completed application along with the documents to the nearest office of the Horticulture Development Officer in the respective CD Block or Horticulture Circle.

Selection of Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries for the scheme will be chosen on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring that assistance is provided promptly to those who apply early.

Step 01: The eligible bonafide farmer can apply/write an application on plain paper.
Step 02: Along with the application, attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 03: Submit the duly filled and signed application along with the documents at the nearest office of the Horticulture Development Officer of a CD Block/ Horticulture Circle.
Mode of Selection of Beneficiary(s):
The bonafide farmers shall be selected on a first come first serve basis.
