The “Old Age Homes” scheme is designed to provide essential services such as food, shelter, medical care, and recreational activities to senior citizens aged 60 and above who are destitute.   • Be registered under the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009.

Application Process

There are two methods for NGOs to apply for the “Old Age Homes” scheme: online and offline.

Online Application via Common Service Center (CSC)

  1. Collect all necessary documents (self-attested as required) for the application.
  2. Visit the nearest Common Service Center (CSC) to complete the Biometric Verification Process.
  3. Fill in all required fields in the NGO’s application form and upload the necessary documents.
  4. Obtain a receipt or acknowledgment from the CSC, ensuring to note the submission date, time, and any unique identification number provided.

Offline Application

  1. Visit the District Social Welfare Office during business hours to request a hard copy of the application form from designated staff.
  2. Complete all mandatory fields in the application form (signature may be required) and attach the necessary documents (self-attested if required).
  3. Submit the filled and signed application form along with the documents to the District Social Welfare Officer.
  4. Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the authority to whom you submitted the application, ensuring it includes the submission date, time, and unique identification number if available.

Apply Offline
Step 1: The interested NGOs should visit (during office hours) the District Social Welfare Office and request a hard copy of the prescribed format of the application form from the staff exclusively entrusted to issue and collect filled-in applications.
Step 2: In the application form, fill in all the mandatory fields (signed across, if required), and attach copies of all the mandatory documents (self-attest, if required).
Step 3: Submit the duly filled and signed application form along with the documents to the District Social Welfare Officer.
Step 4: Request a receipt or acknowledgment from the concerned authority to whom the application has been submitted. Ensure that the receipt contains essential details such as the date and time of submission, and a unique identification number (if applicable).
