Launched by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Gujarat, the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana is designed to provide a microfinance mechanism specifically for women from marginalized backgrounds. The Gujarat Nomadic and Denotified Castes Development Corporation oversees the implementation of this scheme, which not only fosters self-employment but also encourages women to engage in independent business activities.

Key Benefits of the Scheme

• Loan Amount: Women beneficiaries can access loans of up to ₹1,25,000.
• Interest Rate: The scheme offers a competitive interest rate of 4% per annum.
• Loan Coverage: Beneficiaries will receive 100% financing for their business or occupation needs.
• Funding Breakdown: The loan is financed 95% by the National Corporation and 5% by the State Government, with no contribution required from the beneficiary.
• Repayment Period: The total loan amount must be repaid over 48 equal monthly installments, including interest.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a woman belonging to a Nomadic or Denotified Caste.
• The family’s annual income should not exceed ₹3,00,000 as of April 1, 2018. Notably, at least 50% of the total loan allocation is reserved for families with an annual income of ₹1,50,000 or less.
• Applicants should be aged between 21 and 50 years at the time of application.
• A background in a technical or skilled trade/business is necessary for applicants.
• Suitable collateral must be provided to secure the loan.

Application Process

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

Navigate to the Gujarat Nomadic and Denotified Tribes Development Corporation official portal. Locate the section for Mahila Samriddhi Yojana on the homepage and click on “Apply Now” to access the application form.

Step 2: Complete the Application Form

Fill in all required details in the “Applicant Information” section, which includes:

• Full name
• Father/Husband’s name
• Gender
• Complete address
• Contact number(s)
• Aadhaar Number
• Occupation and income details of parents/husband/guardian
• Date of Birth and Age
• Caste and Sub-caste
• Disability status, if applicable
• Past loan details if applicable (date, amount, paid, remaining)
• Bank account details (account number, bank name, branch, holder name, account type, MICR code, IFSC code)

Step 3: Document Upload

In this stage, upload a recent photograph and signature (each file must be less than 15 KB) under “Upload Photo.” Additionally, navigate to “Upload Document” to submit all necessary files in PDF, JPG, JPEG, or PNG formats.

Step 4: Review and Submit

Before final submission, thoroughly review your completed application. Utilize the preview feature to ensure all information is accurate. Complete the CAPTCHA verification and click on “Submit” to finalize your application.

Tracking Application Status

Upon successful submission, applicants will receive an Application ID/Reference Number. It is advisable to save or print this acknowledgment for future reference. To check the application status, revisit the official website, scroll down, and find the “Know App Status” section. Enter the scheme name, Application Number, and Birth Date, fill in the CAPTCHA, and click “Submit” to view your application status.
