Key Benefits

The Dragon Fruit Vikas Yojana offers substantial financial benefits to participating farmers, structured as follows:

• First Year: ₹1,80,000 per hectare
• Second Year: ₹60,000 per hectare
• Third Year: ₹60,000 per hectare

This financial support is designed to ease the initial burden of setting up dragon fruit plantations and encourage farmers to embrace this lucrative crop.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Dragon Fruit Vikas Yojana, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• The applicant must be a resident of Bihar.
• Only ryot farmers are eligible to apply.
• Applicants must belong to one of the specified districts listed above.
• A minimum agricultural landholding of 0.25 acres (0.1 hectares) and a maximum of 10 acres (4 hectares) is required.
• Registration on the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) portal is mandatory.

Note: Beneficiary allocation is as follows:

• General Category: 78.56%
• Scheduled Castes: 20%
• Scheduled Tribes: 1.44%
• Women Participation: 30%

Beneficiaries will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.

Application Process

Farmers interested in applying for the Dragon Fruit Vikas Yojana can follow these steps:

DBT Registration Process

1. Access the DBT portal registration page.
2. Select the Aadhaar verification method: OTP, BIO-AUTH, or IRIS.
3. Input your Aadhaar number along with the name as per Aadhaar, then click on “Authentication.”
4. Enter the OTP received and click on “Validate OTP.”
5. Confirm the details regarding your Kisan Credit Card (KCC) and click on “Farmer Registration.”
6. Complete the registration form with all required information and submit.
7. Validate your submission with the OTP and click on “Register” to generate your Registration ID.

Note: After 48 hours of registration, farmers can apply for the scheme using the 13-digit registration number.

Online Application for the Scheme

1. Visit the official website.
2. Scroll to the bottom, confirm the checkbox, and click on “Proceed to apply.”
3. Select your applicant type and input your DBT Registration Number. Click on “Get details.”
4. Fill in the necessary details such as address and land information, and upload the required documents.
5. Confirm the checkbox and click on “Submit.”
6. An application number will be generated; keep it for future reference.
7. You can print the application form using the print option available.
